At the 2026 Concordia Annual Summit during New York Climate Week, our co-founder Professor Ramanna delivered a Studio Stage session titled “A Pro-Market Path to Decarbonization.” This TED-style talk explored how rigorous product-level emissions accounting can enable markets to reward lower-emissions choices, drive competition, and align climate outcomes with economic incentives.
Professor Ramanna also joined a mainstage panel discussion alongside Dr. M. Sanjayan (The New York Climate Exchange), Alex Saer (Cercarbono), and moderator Kathryn Clay (Washington Post Intelligence). The session, “Aligning the Three Legs of Carbon Accounting,” examined the need to better align corporate reporting, policy and regulation, and scientific research to build a credible and scalable carbon accounting system.
