Resources for the Future Workshop: Implementing E-ledgers in the Power Sector

Our co-founders, Professor Karthik Ramanna and Robert S. Kaplan, spoke at a workshop hosted by Resources for the Future (RFF) to explore the application of the E-ledgers framework in the power sector. The session focused on defining “causal logic” for electric power, specifically examining the distribution of embodied and operational E-liabilities across energy and reliability products. Attendees engaged in technical breakouts to address the challenges of chain-of-custody in grid-integrated markets and the allocation of infrastructure emissions, providing critical feedback to the E-ledgers framework in the power sector.
