BPC Carbon Accounting Roundtable

CBAM: Simplifying Emissions Calculation Roundtable

On December 3, 2025, AmCham EU hosted a private roundtable in Brussels on simplifying emissions calculation for the EU CBAM. Our co-founder, Professor Karthik Ramanna, joined industry leaders, experts, and EU officials to discuss the secondary legislation for CBAM’s definitive phase and focusing on simplifying emissions-calculation methods that are both effective and practical for stakeholders across global value chains.

Webinar: The CFO and the ESG Mandate

Our co-founder, Professor Karthik Ramanna, spoke at a workshop “The CFO and the ESG Mandate: Navigating Stakeholder Pressures with Insight and Intelligence,” hosted by the Centre for Financial Leadership and Digital Transformation and the Vlerick Sustainability Centre on November 18th. The session explored how transparent reporting can strengthen accountability and trust across value chains. Professor Ramanna was joined by key voices in finance, sustainability, and digital innovation.

Sustainable Innovation Forum 2025

As part of the Climate Action Sustainable Innovation Forum 2025 in São Paulo, our co-founder, Professor Karthik Ramanna, spoke on a panel sponsored by Carbon Measures, SBCOP, the International Chamber of Commerce, in association with AmCham Brazil, and the US Chamber of Commerce. The session explored how rigorous, transparent carbon accounting can better support emissions reductions across policy, markets, and industry, and featured Amy Brachio (Carbon Measures), Gabriella de Figueiredo Dorlhiac (International Chamber of Commerce – Brazil), and Mark Eramo (S&P Global), moderated by Colm Devine (EY).

International Working Conference: Building a Primary Product-level Emissions Data Platform

The E-ledgers Institute served as operating partner for a two-day International Working Conference focused on the critical question: How can we build a high-integrity global data platform for dynamically tracking product-level emissions? Hosted by Argonne National Laboratory, the BIS Irving Fisher Committee, De Nederlandsche Bank, Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development, and the University of Oxford’s Blavatnik School of Government, the conference convened leading experts from academia, industry, international institutions, and civil society. The focus was on the statistical, accounting, chemical, computational, and governance building blocks needed for a global repository of real-time, cradle-to-gate product emissions data.

2025 World Climate and Biodiversity Summit

Our co-founder, Professor Karthik Ramanna, spoke at the World Climate and Biodiversity Summit in New York on September 25, 2025, alongside co-panelists Matt Handford (EY), Clarissa Lins (Catavento), Marcelo Furtado (Itausa), and Carlos Pascual (S&P Global), with Paula Kovarsky (Legend Capital) moderating. The session, “Carbon Accounting Beyond Reporting: Building a Global Framework for Product-Level Emissions Intensity,” explored the technical, policy, and market pathways to a globally consistent carbon accounting framework and was hosted by the Sustainable Business COP.
