Chris Liddell

Christopher P. Liddell joined the Board of Directors at the E-ledgers Institute in 2022, serving as its founding Chair until 2024. He continues to serve as a member of the Board. He has held many senior roles in politics, namely as White House Deputy Chief of Staff in the first Trump Administration and previously as Assistant to the President and Director of Strategic Initiatives. He played a central role in three U.S. presidential transition cycles. Liddell was also the United States nominee for Secretary-General of the OECD.
In the private sector, Liddell has been the Chief Financial Officer of several major companies, including Microsoft and General Motors. He also held roles as CEO of Carter Holt Harvey and Chairman of Xero Corporation. He is currently a Director of Commonwealth Fusion.
Liddell graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering from Auckland University and a Master of Philosophy from the University of Oxford.
