Robert S. Kaplan is co-founder and Senior Fellow at the E-ledgers Institute. Kaplan is the Marvin Bower Professor of Leadership Development, Emeritus at the Harvard Business School and was previously the Dean at Carnegie-Mellon University’s Tepper Business School. Kaplan has co-developed activity-based costing (ABC), the Balanced Scorecard (BSC), and has co-authored 14 books and more than 250 papers.
Kaplan received a B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from M.I.T., a Ph.D. in Operations Research from Cornell University, and honorary doctorates from four international universities. He was elected to the Accounting Hall of Fame in 2006.
