Simona Letizia

Summer Intern

Simona Letizia joins the E-ledgers Institute for summer 2026 and supports cross-functional initiatives spanning policy research, external engagement, and strategic communications.

Prior to joining the Institute, Letizia worked with the United Nations, where she advanced economic development initiatives related to climate resilience, sustainable finance, and industrial decarbonization. She is also the co-founder of Sankofa Empowering Women in Ghana (SEWING), a nonprofit that delivers educational scholarships, entrepreneurship training, and sustainable business-development programs for Kayayei women. She has represented SEWING before governments, international organizations, private-sector leaders, and at the World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates.

Letizia is currently pursuing her undergraduate degree in Economics and Social Studies (Honors) at Harvard University, where her academic interests include economic development, international relations, sustainable finance, and public-private partnerships.
